Who am I?
My name is Tara McLoughlin. I have worked in an editorial capacity since the 1990s and have 10 years' experience as a proofreader, copy editor and copywriter. I recognise the requirement for good proofreading and copywriting skills in the Edinburgh marketplace and offer you an excellent, reliable freelance service.
I work mainly for publishers producing business-related/lifestyle magazines and for design/advertising/PR/marketing companies based in Edinburgh. I also do online work for firms in Glasgow and Southern England.

I work mainly within the Edinburgh area, enabling me to collect and drop off work by hand, whenever possible. This way we also get to know each other - you feel you can ask me to come in at short notice to collect a particular job and I get to understand your requirements in more detail…
Proofreading Copy Format
Most of my proofreading clients prefer me to work with hard copy. I can also work with Microsoft Word and PDF documents, offering a reliable online service.
Copywriting
Most of my copywriting clients are based outside Edinburgh and brief me on the phone with subsequent email contact. Face-to-face meetings in the Edinburgh area can also be arranged. I liaise with the third party client if required, ensuring copy is spot on in meeting their needs.
